About Us
The National Fraternal Order of Police was founded in 1915 and is the largest law enforcement organization in the world, with over 377,000 members and 2,200 lodges. www.fop.net
The Rhode Island State Lodge, Fraternal Order of Police was established in 1952 and, to date, has 26 subordinate lodges and approximately 2,500 active and retired members.
Our lodges range in responsibility from social/fraternal to bargaining units, where members negotiate contracts, working conditions, discipline, and working conditions.
At the National and State level, the executive board reviews and provides testimony (written and/or verbal) on bills to legislators and committees.
